I have never been a big brow girl; being that that is Anastasia Beverly Hills’ area of expertise, I haven’t experimented with the brand much. However, I will try almost any product that makes its way to me, which is how I ended up testing (and loving) the brand’s latest launches, including the Beauty Balm Serum Boosted Skin Tint.

I’ll start by saying I love foundation, skin tints, and all complexion products — I test at least half a dozen every month. So something has to be truly remarkable to etch out some space into my routine, because it means retiring a product I loved. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Balm Serum Boosted Skin Tint did just that thanks to a really creamy but not pore-clogging texture, a subtle, imperfection-neutralizing finish, and a stick form that I can throw into any bag or pocket. Importantly, it’s also super low maintenance, which is not common for me; per my phone’s stopwatch, I finish my makeup in exactly 1 minute and 40.04 seconds when I use this skin tint.

Per the name, this is a tinted serum; I’ve tried many, but this one is unlike any I’ve used thanks to its creamy balm stick formula. There are a lot of skin-enhancing ingredients here, but the highlights include hyaluronic acidpeptidessunflower seed oil, and jojoba seed oil. It’s a combination that provides long-term hydration, skin plumping, improved elasticity, and softened wrinkles.

On the cosmetic side, the balm comes in 16 shades and is a light coverage skin tint that I think works equally well as a subtle concealer. Though a skin tint seems like a straightforward product, I’ve gotten more uses out of Beauty Balm Serum Boosted Skin Tint than I expected; I’ve used it as a primer, an all-over and stand alone complexion product, and a concealer. It can be applied in just as many ways — I’ve swiped the stick directly on my skin, used my fingers (my go-to method), and dabbed it onto a sponge (my runner up method), and picked up pigment using a makeup brush before applying it to my face.

It’s not going to camouflage every imperfection, pore, and blemish the way a foundation would, but it makes my skin look more even toned and dewy. It’s an easy thing to throw in my purse or pocket to touch up my skin on the go.

Head to Ulta to shop the Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Balm Serum Boosted Skin Tint that’s become one of my new go-tos — it’s so good, it may just sell out.
