Dakota Fanning is never one to shy away from a classy full glam moment.
The actress opted for old-school Hollywood glamour at last night’s New York City premiere of Ishana Shyamalan’s debut feature The Watchers. Fanning wore a sultry dark green gown for the occasion. The satin dress draped from two gold straps and pooled around her ankles in an elegant train. The front of the dress featured a daring deep plunging neckline. Fanning wore her blonde long long and straight around her shoulders.

The simple, sophisticated look, with its elegant, draped design, recalled the sleek, glamorous looks of ’90s and Y2K Hollywood red carpets.
Of course, Fanning is no stranger to chic red carpet looks. Earlier this week, Fanning donned a smart beige dress with a red floral detail around the hem to the London premiere of the film and back in 2022, she wore a daring sheer slip dress to a premiere of Showtime’s The First Lady.

Dakota Fanning has been having quite the year. Earlier this year, the one-time child actor starred in the moody Netflix adaptation of The Talented Mr. Ripley. She has also been a loud supporter of her younger sister, Elle, who is also booked and busy with projects. Recently, the pair even made a cameo in Paris Hilton’s star-studded album announcement video. Very chic It girl behavior!
Fanning spoke to People at last night’s premiere, giving advice to up-and-coming child actors who may be making their first steps in the industry. “As long as you love it, you’re in the right place,” she said. “Sometimes you’re working in a cold, wet forest, and if you can still have fun there, then you’re on the right track.”
Shyamalan, the film’s director, gushed about working with the former child star. “I was blown away by working with her,” she said. “She’s one of those actresses that only comes from truth and always makes decisions that are real to her, and that adds such a depth and texture to the movie.”
